Use DWPD or TBW as published model-rating inputs, then record the warranty period, read/write pattern, duty cycle and requested health evidence. A SATA, SAS or NVMe interface and a capacity are separate fields; neither identifies endurance use or used-unit condition.

DWPD describes the published number of full-drive writes per day across a stated warranty period for a specified model or capacity. It helps compare a documented endurance rating with the intended workload, but it does not report the health history of a particular used unit.

TBW describes a cumulative write amount for a stated model or capacity. Record the published TBW alongside the exact identifier and warranty context, then ask for order-specific evidence separately rather than treating a model rating as an inspection result.

Endurance figures need their documented context. Include the intended read/write profile, duty cycle, operating temperature expectation and warranty period in the RFQ so the supplier can review the request against the exact quoted model without treating one published figure as a universal workload result.

A published DWPD or TBW value describes the model rating, not the condition of a previously used drive. Request the label, diagnostic output, sampling scope and target condition for the proposed order, and keep performance, health and platform review tied to the agreed evidence scope.
