How to Identify Server CPU Models and Part Numbers
Prepare an accurate RFQ by reading model names, ordering part numbers, OEM references and platform information.
Procurement note: Representative examples support identification and procurement planning. Final model, condition, compatibility, evidence, availability, and quotation remain order-specific.
SECTION 01
Read commercial model
Capture the processor family, full model and any suffix shown on the label. A clear label image helps prevent errors caused by abbreviated model text.
- Family
- Model
- Suffix
- Label image
SECTION 02
Capture ordering part number
Record the ordering code separately from the commercial model name. OEM numbers, tray codes and acceptable alternatives should remain distinct RFQ fields.
- Ordering code
- OEM number
- Tray code
- Alternative
SECTION 03
Record installed platform
Include the server brand, exact model and motherboard identifier with the processor request. The current CPU gives an additional reference for platform verification.
- Server
- Model
- Board
- Current CPU
SECTION 04
Send a clean RFQ list
Organize each requested model with quantity, target condition and destination. Final availability, condition, test scope, packing, and quotation are confirmed per order.
- Model
- Quantity
- Condition
- Destination
Send a quotation-ready requirement
Include model or part number, quantity, target condition, destination country, and any compatibility or evidence requirements. Final availability, testing scope, lead time, warranty, packing, shipping, and commercial terms are confirmed per quotation.
